In this week’s story class, we journeyed with, The Bremen Town Musicians, a tale about teamwork, resilience, and finding new beginnings. Here are three simple follow-up activities to help reinforce the story’s themes with your children or students:
- Discuss the Story’s Message Talk about how the animals worked together to overcome challenges. Ask questions like, “Why did the animals decide to become musicians?” and “How did teamwork help them scare away the robbers?” This discussion will help children understand the importance of cooperation and supporting one another.
- Art Project: Create Animal Puppets Encourage children to create puppets of the donkey, dog, cat, and rooster using paper, crayons, and popsicle sticks. As they work, talk about each character’s role in the story. These puppets can be used for retelling the story or creating new adventures.
