What We Did in Story Class Today:
Today, we listened to two stories from Africa. The first story was Why Mosquitoes Buzz, from West Africa — in the story, a mosquito’s dishonesty causes confusion and chaos among the jungle animals. The second story, Why the Sun and Moon Live in the Sky, is our featured story of the day. Below are suggestions on how to discuss the story at home and do an art activity together.

Draw pictures of the story’s characters with your child — Sun, Moon, Water, and the sea creatures who came to visit (fish, shark, killer whale, turtle, or stingray).
