Creating a Unique Creature
Materials Needed
- Large white construction paper
- Coloured paper cut into fun animal parts; bodies, tails, legs, ears, muzzles, beaks and bills, wings, fins, flippers, etc.
- Goggly eyes, feathers, texture materials
- Glue sticks
- Markers or crayons

- Retell the Platypus story
- Ask children: “What makes the platypus special?”
- Discuss how being different can be wonderful
